In the ever-evolving landscape of fashion, a pivotal trend named "Material Matters" is reshaping design perspectives. This trend sees a holistic shift in the approach of product designers and architects toward sustainable materials. These resources aim to guide and inspire creatives on the journey towards sustainable choices, reflecting a heightened awareness of environmental considerations.
Ecuadorian designer Felipe Fiallo introduces "We Go Far," an eco-futuristic footwear project that transcends being a mere product line. It stands as an invitation to harmonize fashion with nature, earning accolades such as the Fondazione Ferragamo Award and the People's Choice Award at the 2020 ITS – International Talent Support. Categorized into biomaterials, digital fabrication, and upcycling of luxury leftovers, the project features innovative sneakers like the Crystal Walk, adorned with naturally growing crystals through over-mineralization, and Food for Fish, a biodegradable shoe designed for a year of use before natural decomposition.

Project Implementation
Aligned with the bio-digital couture movement, a series of stages were developed for the photoshoot, allowing each shoe to be portrayed in its natural environment. The focus lies on showcasing the biomaterials' science behind each shoe, emphasizing the luxury brand's folkloric vision blending digital, biology, and sustainability. This project not only embodies the essence of sustainable fashion but also serves as a visual testament to the seamless integration of nature and cutting-edge technology in the creation of eco-friendly and stylish footwear.
